Technology Council is the membership association for the technology community in Central and
Northern Arizona. The Council partners with other organizations in initiatives to improve the

The vision of the MIT Auto-ID Center (of which Sun is a sponsor and founding member) is to
create a universal environment in which computers understand the world without help from
human beings. The organization's charter is to develop the "electronic product code", or
ePC, which expands upon the current Universal Product Code(UPC) standard. ePC Code provides
Universal Identification Taxonomy. Empresa has fully embraced this ePC convention standard,
as it is destined to become the product identification and coding scheme of the future.
